SUGGESTED ITINERARY
| Day 1: MILAN – LAKE MAGGIORE Arrival transfer from Milan airport to hotel in Lake Maggiore area. Relax on the shore of the lake or take a leisure stroll into town. Dinner on your own and overnight. |
| Day 2: MILAN Buffet beakfast and departure to Milan. Half day visit to the Italian Capital of Fashion. Your tour will start at the Duomo Square with the view of Milan’s Cathedral (Inside visit of the Duomo plus visit of the spire-laden roof). Then onto Victor Emmanuel Gallery, a pedestrian mall built in the 1800s featuring a large arched glass ceiling. After lunch on your own, free time to stroll around the city center for some shopping or further discovery. Dinner on your own and overnight. Meals: B |
| Day 3: LAKE MAGGIORE Buffet breakfast and departure to Lake Maggiore. Excursion by boat from Stresa to visit the Borromean islands: Isola dei Pescatori and Isola Bella. Visit of the Palace and Gardens. Count Vataliano Borromeobegan the construction of this opulent Baroque palace and its splendid gardens in 1632. A guided tour of the ornate family home, showcases priceless works of art, tapestries and furniture in an elegant and sumptuous setting. Continue to Isola dei Pescatori and have lunch. Return to Stresa and free time to stroll around the town. Dinner on your own and overnight. Meals: B |
| Day 4: LAKE COMO & BELLAGIO Buffet breakfast and departure to Lake Como, one of Italy’s most romantic destinations surrounded by beautiful hills and mountains. Private boat from Cadenabbia to the quiet village of Bellagio, “The Pearl” of Lake Como. Visit of Bellagio followed by lunch in a local restaurant. Continue to Tremezzo by private boat and visit to precious Villa Carlotta where you will visit the Museum and appreciate the Italian garden with steps, amazing fountains and sculptures. | Day 5: BERGAMO – LAKE GARDA Buffet breakfast. This morning we will depart to Bergamo, a beautiful town built on two levels connected with a funicular. The charming old town is located on the upper level and is town surrounded by medieval walls. Guided tour to discover this medieval jewel with included the funicular to discover both sides of the town. Lunch on your own and free time. Continue to Lake Garda area. Dinner on your own and overnight. Meals: B |
| Day 6: VERONA – VENICE Buffet breakfast. Morning visit of Sirmione, famous since ancient times for its thermal waters. The charming lake town stretches along a thin peninsula that protrudes into Lake Garda for about 3 miles. It’s one of the most beautiful places on the lake, from which one can enjoy superb views of both shores: beautiful Villas overlooking the lake, some of them tracing back to the Roman times like the one of poet Valerio Catullo and the more recent owned by the famous soprano Maria Callas that used to spend her summer here. Your tour leader will point out the major sights such as the Castle, the Roman ruins and the thermal bath. Walking tour with your English speaking guide through this romantic city, setting of Shakespeare’s tragedy “Rome and Juliet” with included visit of the Roman amphitheater, the famous Arena di Verona. Lunch on your own. Free time and continue to Venice. Dinner on your own and overnight. Meals: B |
| Day 7: VENICE Buffet breakfast. This morning you will join your private English speaking guide to explore the city center of Venice with St. Mark’s Square and view the Golden Basilica of San Marco, built over several centuries in a fusion of Byzantine, Roman and Venetia architecture. Admire the Canal Grande, Rialto Bridge and Bridge of Sights, created at the beginning of the 17th century to serve as a link between prisons. Then continue to Doge’s Palace, official residence of the Venetian ruler (skip the line tickets included). Afternoon at leisure for shopping or further discovery. Dinner on your own and overnight.
