SUGGESTED ITINERARY

Day 1: VERONA
Arrival, transfer from airport to hotel. Bike fitting and warm-up ride along the beautiful Adige river. Afterwards enjoy a guided tour of the romantic city of Verona, home of Romeo and Juliet. Continue to your hotel and dinner. Overnight.

Day 2: VERONA – AMARONE – VALPOLICELLA – LAKE GARDA – RIVA DEL GARDA
Breakfast and start your daily bike tour. Starts out rolling through the vineyards of Amarone and Valpolicella and crossing the Adige valley, which provides well-earned views over the entire Lago di Garda. Stop for lunch. Reach finally Riva Del Garda, at the northernmost point of the Lake.  Time to explore this gem of a lakeside town.Continue to your hotel and dinner. Overnight.

Day 3: RIVA DEL GARDA – VALLE DEI LAGHI – BRENTA DOLOMITES – TRENTO
Breakfast and start your daily bike tour to the gorgeous “Valle dei Laghi” towards the “Gruppo Brenta” the westernmost mountains of the Dolomite range. Enjoy some spectacular views of the lake and the tiny mountain villages. Stop for lunch. Ride along Lago di Toblino before descending into a lovely green valley surrounded by beautiful mountains. Reach finally Trento and free time to explore the city. Continue to your hotel and dinner. Overnight.

Day 4: TRENTO – SOUTH TYROL WINE ROUTE – BOLZANO
Breakfast and start your daily bike tour to the famous South Tryol wine route. The villages, vineyards and guesthouses along the Alto Adige Wine Road represent a truly unique and picturesque area, with vineyards reaching all the way to warm bathing lakes, historic manors and the mountains. Stop for lunch. Reach finally Bolzano and free time to explore the city. Enjoy a walk in the old city center, or visit the Archaeology museum, featuring Ötzi, the remarkably intact 5,000-year-old mummy discovered twenty years ago in the Alpine ice. Continue to your hotel and dinner. Overnight.

Day 5: BOLZANO – SCILIAR – ROSENGARDEN – PASSO DI PINEI – VAL GARDENA – PASSO SELLA – CANAZEI
Breakfast and start your daily bike tour to the Sciliar and Rosengarden with their dramatic peaks directly above us. Climb towards the Val di Tires and up to Passo di Pinei. After passing through several quirky alpine towns, stop for lunch in Santa Cristina Val Gardena. Reach then Passo Sella, after that a long, steep descent takes us to the little gem of a Sud Tyrolean town of Canazei. Free time in the alpine city. Continue to your hotel and dinner. Overnight.

Day 6: CANAZEI – GRUPPO SELLA – PASSO PORDOI – PASSO FALZAREGO – CORTINA
Breakfast and start your daily bike tour along the same passes as Italy’s annual Giro d’Italia. Reach the gorgeous Gruppo Sella, then rises above the Passo Pordoi and finally the stunning Passo Falzarego. This entire area is an outdoor WW1 museum as it is the site where major battles were fought. Stop for lunch. Finally reach Cortina and time for shopping and individual visits. Continue to your hotel and dinner. Overnight.

Day 7: CORTINA – TRE CIME DI LAVAREDO – CORTINA
Breakfast and start  a trekking tour to reach the glorious Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Lunch in a typical Malga just in front of the three peaks. In the late afternoon, back to Cortina, a city often described as the Aspen of Italy, though its history is much older. Cortina hosted the Olympic Games in the ‘60s and continues to thrive as a mecca for all mountain sports enthusiasts, as well as also being known as one of the worlds “glitziest” mountain towns. Continue to your hotel and dinner. Overnight.

Day 8: CORTINA – PASSO TRE CROCE – LAGO MISURINA – PUSTERIA VALLEY – DOBBIACO – LIENZ
Breakfast and start your daily bike tour. Climb over Passo Tre Croce, to the scenic tranquility of Lago Misurina, and continue skirting around the base of the imposing and spectacular Monte Cristallo through the Ampezzo Dolomites to Dobbiaco. Follow a beautifully maintained system of bicycle paths through the wide Pusteria Valley all the way from Dobbiaco, passing the Italian/Austrian boarder, to the understated, city of Lienz, the capital of Eastern Tyrol. Stop for lunch. The quaint medieval city center of Lienz is a well restored pedestrian zone for shopping or an optimal place to chill with a nice aperitif before dinner. Continue to your hotel and dinner. Overnight.

Day 9: LIENZ – GLOSSGLOCKNER – ZELL AM SEE
Breakfast and start your daily bike tour. Leave the Lienzer Dolomiten heading north through the valley next to the river Winklern, approaching the majestic Grossglockner. The Grossglockner High Alpine Road takes us up to areas 8,202 ft above sea level, through majestic mountain scenery in the Hohe Tauern National Park. The effort is great but well worth the views at the top. Stop for lunch. Reach finally Zell am See and free time. Continue to your hotel and dinner. Overnight.

Day 10: ZELL AM SEE – MULBACH – WERFEN
Breakfast and start your daily bike tour. Leave the Austrian oasis of Zell Am See and pedal along a gorgeous valley through quaint farm villages. The mountains in the distance are a dramatic backdrop to our entire ride. Begin climbing out of this river valley and at the top of our second climb we will have a delicious Austrian lunch. Stop for lunch. Start then a long descent into Mulbach, then one last climb to Pfarwerfen and then down to Werfen. Continue to your hotel and dinner. Overnight.

Day 11: WERFEN – SALZBURG
Breakfast and start a guided tour of Werfen’s castle. Reach then the enchanting city of Salzburg. Lunch at a local typical restaurant. Explore the city with a soft bike tour. Rest of the day free for invididual visits and shopping. Continue to your hotel and dinner. Overnight.

Day 12: SALZBURG
After breakfast transfer to the Airport.
