| Breakfast and departure to Nice, the capital of the Riviera and a buzzing city full of culture, excellent restaurants and good shopping. There are distinct districts like the medieval quarter, the Italianate quarter that belies Nice’s past as part of Italy and plenty of rich mansions that shows past pedigree as one of the most fashionable resorts in Europe. Enjoy the city and visit the celebrate Promenade des Anglais, the Cathedral and the historic center. Get ready to live then a day full of magic and colors. Join Nice Carnival, born in 1294, making it one of the world’s oldest carnival celebrations. For two weeks every February and March, Nice is full of open air music performances, parades, processions and carnival cheer. The Menton Lemon Festival, in its 83rd year is quite unique. Locals use citrus fruit to create huge exhibitions and statues along a set theme – the results are truly impressive. Lunch on your own to taste local food. After lunch enjoy the famous “Flower Battle” and the enlightened Wagon Parade. Back to your hotel. | Day 3 | LEMON FESTIVAL IN MENTON |
| Breakfast and departure to Menton to take part to the famous “Fête du Citron”. Menton exudes Italianate charm from its picturesque position ringed by mountains. The Lemon Festival is the biggest annual event. Here find 10 meter tall citrus-covered installations in the Biovès Gardens and a colorful parade with each float bearing over 140 tonnes of fruit. During the morning, take a tour into this picturesque city. Lunch on your own to taste local specialties. Afterwards participate to the amazing “Corsi des Fruits d’or” on the Promenade du Soleil. Here the atmosphere will be full of confettis, folk groups and beautiful wagons decorated with citrus fruits will dominate the streets. Afterwards time to see the exposition of “agrumes” (opened till 19h00) and dinner on your own. Enjoy also the Citrus Exhibition in the Jardins Bioves to view the sculptures up close. Back to your hotel.
